From 2001 to 2008, Jeff was Principal/CFO with Horizon Equity Pty Ltd, an investment and corporate finance company, where he was responsible for sourcing and conducting the due diligence of a range of direct and syndicated private equity investments. His deal clients included both private and publicly-listed companies and during this time he was appointed as Chairman of publicly-listed Ezybonds (UK) PLC.

Between 1998 and 2001, Jeff was Finance Director of Tox Free Solutions (ASX:TOX), which involved him in the successful restructuring and turnaround of the company, from a Deed of Company Arrangement through successive capital raisings to an eventual listing on the Australian Stock Exchange.

Jeff is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia (ICAA), and originally trained with Price Waterhouse, where he ultimately held the position of Manager in Australia, the UK and South Africa. He then worked at Partner level at Ernst and Whinney, which became Ernst & Young; and from there he moved to National Australia Bank, where he was responsible for the review and diagnosis of the bank’s impaired assets bank, and also the implementation of successful turnaround strategies and business restructuring.  In 1996, Jeff transferred to NAB’s private equity division: National Australia Investment Capital.
